Garden Furniture
Possessing garden furniture will mean that you can enjoy your garden better. You’ll find nothing nicer than setting up a table and chairs in the garden and enjoying a few drinks or a meal outside. You can have your seating in the sunshine, or in the shade, or have an umbrella to shade you when you need.
There are lots of sorts of garden furniture which include benches, tables, dining chairs, recliners, sun loungers, side tables and deckchairs. You might like to get a set of furniture that matches, or buy things one at a time.
Furniture is made of various materials. Wood is perhaps the most popular and widely available. Teak is a very popular wood but it’s quite pricey. The wood must be treated with teak oil but it is resistant to fungi, flames and rain water. Wood will have to be maintained to avoid weathering.
Plastic is the lower priced option but it does not mean it is nasty. It isn’t the most environmentally friendly choice but the furniture is light as well as long-lasting and can be left out of doors month in month out.
Metal garden furniture is usually made from wrought iron or aluminium. Aluminium is coated so it will be weather resistant but the coating must be taken care of since the underlying metal is at risk of oxidation. Wrought iron is heavy but long lasting and it looks great.
Resin weave garden furniture is great because it’s light in comparison to wood and metal. It has an appealing structure with the weave and is more and more popular in Britain. It’s reminiscent of tropical getaways. The resin weave is often made out of recycled plastic so is great for the ecologically minded. Also, the furniture has a great life expectancy since it stands up to use outdoors very well.
Hammocks are a popular garden item. Again, they’re suggestive of holidays. They vary in price from simple inexpensive fabric, to more expensive fabric with free-standing wooden or metal support frames.
An enjoyable piece of garden furniture is the outdoor beanbag. Vibrant colours are available and the seats are light and comfy.
Hanging chairs are also an exciting furniture solution. Hanging from a tree or a stable frame, the chairs or pods are really nice to take a seat in. The motion is de-stressing as the chair sways in the breeze.
With garden furniture you can really have fun. Make sure that you buy something suited to your garden and your price range but do not forget to think ahead a little bit to what your long term needs will be. If you are renting a property with a large back garden, it may not make sense to go mad and buy an entire wooden furniture set if your next house has a little garden.
Whatever you do though, it is important to use the garden whenever you can because the good weather conditions are virtually here and gardens should be cherished and enjoyed.
